Learn Oshiwambo Fast

Have you ever thought of surprising an Oshiwambo speaking person just by saying something in Oshiwambo?  It is so unfortunate that Google translate can not translate Oshiwambo into English. Here are some of the words one should know if you like surrounding your self with Wambo’s.

  2. I'm trying to write a story that takes place in Namibia, and I need some help with some Oshiwambo words. Could you give me the words for:

    (1) Cliffside? (I know "ekuma" is "cliff", but I don't know how to make it "cliffside")

    (2) Busybody (or something similar)? A "busybody" is a disapproving term for someone who is too interested in other people’s private lives and tries to get involved in them in a way that is annoying. Like, someone who enjoys figuring out everybody's secrets and getting involved in everybody's private lives even when they are not wanted. Is there an Oshiwambo name for someone like that? NOTE: It CANNOT be a curse word or something that you could not say in front of school children, since this story will be for teens and children.

    Thank you!
